Chinese Chamber of Commerce's CNY Dinner

Last night, my wife and I attended the Chinese Chamber of Commerce's (CCC) Chinese New Year Dinner at the Grand Hall, Empire Hotel & Country Club. We arrived at about 7.15pm and guess what; we had a hard time looking for a table with two vacant seats! There were more than 1000 guests and most of the tables we approached were "reserved" by the occupants of that particular table. Finally, we did manage to get a table with the help of my friend, Mr. Luke Lau. There were the usual speeches by the President of CCC and souvenir presentation to the Guest of Honour, Pehin Lim Jock Seng. The opening performance was a Lion Dance performance by CCC's very own lion dancers. The evening's entertainment were provided by several Malaysian artistes (singing and dancing) with the lucky draw as the finale. As usual, no luck for me!
