Stuart & YuYuan's Wedding @ OGH

PWM members
Johnny Lam & daughter
Congratulations to Stuart & YuYuan on your wedding and we are honoured to be invited to witness this auspicious event. The dinner reception was being held at Vanda Chinese Restaurant, Orchid Garden Hotel last night for Stuart's family members and close friends. The bridesmaids, all dressed in blue satin, organized a number of humorous programs (and a video) to entertain the guests. Other guests chipped in by singing for the newly weds and they were very good too! Johnny even jokingly suggested that we invite them for PWM's Chinese New Year Dinner next year to save money (no need to hire foreign artiste!).

Blood Donation Drive Again?

 Even got a souvenir!
This morning I donated blood again despite what happened the last time (on 4 June 2011, I fainted after donating blood at the same venue! So embarassing!). I received a call from Mr. Low yesterday and an sms from Mr. Tiong (fellow PWM members) early this morning informing me of this morning's blood donation campaign and decided it is about time I start giving blood again. This is my 13th blood donation in Brunei and this time I was perfectly fine. Thank you to the Rotary Club of Brunei and NBT (B) Sdn Bhd for organizing this blood donation campaign.

Appreciation Dinner for CNY Organizing Committee

 Next year's OC & co-OC!
Job well done!
 Jenny, our most hard-working member!
Last night, the Organizing Chairman of PWM CNY Gala Dinner 2012, Mr. James Lee, hosted an "Appreciation Dinner" for the organizing committee at Vanda Restaurant, Orchid Garden Hotel (OGH). Sixteen members turned up despite the heavy traffic congestion (and drizzle!) and I almost gave up after going in circles for almost an hour! Unfortunately, four of our ex-cos couldn't make it (in fact Raja & Caroline were there but couldn't find any parking!). I finally managed to park my car next to the rubbish dump of OGH! Every inch of available space along the roadsides were filled up. Why? Because Brunei's U-21 football team was playing Myanmar in the semi-final of the Hassanal Bolkiah Trophy at the National Stadium which is a stone's throw away from OGH (Brunei won 3-1 and will face Indonesia in the final). Even DST's network was down last night as I couldn't contact any of my friends to inform them that I'll be late! But all these temporary setbacks were quickly forgotten as everyone of us enjoyed the sumptous dinner prepared by the chefs of OGH. Our compliments to the chefs!
