Update - Media reports on 2nd April 2012
For the past two years, Traders Inn have been observing Earth Hour on a small scale without much fanfare or publicity and attended by a handful of staff. This year, about 60 members of the Brunei Darussalam Scouts Association, consisting of Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts, joined us in supporting this meaningful event. All non-essential lightings were turned off promptly at 8.30pm on 31 March 2012 for exactly one hour. Even the street lights around the hotel were switched off. Earth Hour is about "uniting people to protect our planet" and creating awareness on energy conservation and hopefully, all my new little friends will inculcate the habit of energy saving not just for this particular night but throughout their entire lives. Let's do our part (however small it may be as every bit counts) to save our planet!
Well done guys!
ReplyDeleteWow, thanks! Traders Inn is committed in its cause towards energy conversation (and water too) and will keep supporting Earth Hour!
