International Nasi Lemak? Someone mentioned this name to us during a conversation while we were having breakfast at a luxury hotel in Kota Kinabalu which is also renown for its nasi lemak. Anyway, this is the first time I came across this name and I did not take any particular interest during the course of the conversation but by co-incidence, I stumbled across an outlet in the basement level of Suria Sabah (the latest megamall in the heart of Kota Kinabalu) that same day!. It's called "Nasi Lemak Antarabangsa" (I believe this must be the same restaurant they were talking about) which serves "the most popular nasi lemak in town since 1973" according to its menu and website. If you love nasi lemak, do give it a try as this is their first outlet outside Peninsula Malaysia. It has eight other branches located in the state of Selangor (mostly in Kuala Lumpur). The staff were friendly and the prices are very reasonable, especially the set breakfast which costs only RM3.95 (about B$1.60) for a nasi lemak plus a hot drink!
